In yet another hastily-convened press conference, this morning Captain Drew unveiled to an astonished group of Japanese tourists the design for the 9th Annual PiratePalooza™ Pubcrawl & Pubsing: “The Curse of the Rumbullion” – a throwback to the classic pirate movies from the Golden Age of Hollywood. After a confusing exchange over the correct pronunciation (and meaning of) the word “Rumbullion” the Captain clambered atop a nearby tour bus to explain that “…this T-shirt design isn’t just talk, we’re going to shoot this thing, you hear me?? We’re going to make the best damned picture you ever did see, see?? Why, we have…. we’ve got… hey, well you know….” — at which point the Captain tumbled off the far side of the bus onto a passing milk van. As he motored off into the distance Captain Drew began yelling something about parking validation and “boobs”. It is believed that there will be a large contingent from Japan at this year’s PiratePalooza™ Pubcrawl & Pubsing, which will happen on Saturday, Septembarrrr 21st. For the latest information on the event visit the pubcrawl page on Captain Drew’s website or check the Facebook page. For the record, “rumbullion” is the word from which the word “rum” was derived and it’s said to be “an archaic term for a big noise and/or uproar”, which aptly describes PiratePalooza™!
