For those of you who missed the large format commercial for the rPhone the first time around (or are unable to view Quicktime content on your computer (Shay Barefoot)) here it is once again, this time in glorious platform-agnostic Flash video. Enjoy!
An unknown source has posted some fairly high-resolutions photos of the rPhone™, the world’s first steam-powered satellite telephone. While the rPhone’s exact release date has yet to be announced by Captain Drew there are some fairly good indications that the build quality will be as good as anticipated, which translates to “shoddy” and “third-rate” in most Western languages. You speaky the cheap-cheap? Still, let us hold you back no longer, race forward to see the hi-res photos of the rPhone for yourself! How many of you are planning to be the first in your harbor to own an rPhone?
CAPTAIN DREW’S SECRET ISLAND LAIR – Captain Drew today introduced rPhone™, combining three delightfully diverse products into one awkward and cumbersome handheld contraption — a revolutionary steam-powered satellite phone, a stylish French musicbox, and a vibrasonic multi-purpose tool that is almost, but not quite, entirely unlike a Sonic Screwdriver. rPhone™ reintroduces a user interface that was almost lost to the shifting sands of time: the rotary dial. Paired with this intuitive interface is a tiny (yet powerful) steam engine which allows users to thrill to the sound of whirring gears and hissing pressure relief valves. rPhone™ hearkens back to an era where sensible construction meant good value, and the rPhone™ is nothing if not sensible. For a peek at the new rPhone™ commercial and a tour of the rPhone’s features visit the official website at: piratepalooza.com/rphone Continue Reading
