PiratePalooza TV 2020
The Artists
PiratePalooza TV wouldn’t have been nearly amazing this year without the fantastic contributions by the following artists. We appreciate their talents, their time, and the fun they brought to this very hasty production. We hope that you will be able to join us at next year’s PiratePalooza in person, and that you will attend to these performers with your good patronage.

Three Quarter Ale
Three Quarter Ale is a Ren-rock band based in Atlanta, GA. Comprised of players Ariana Pellayle (Becky Cormier), Rosemary Quench (Rivka Levin), and Wicked Pete Speakeasy (Dolph Amick), Three Quarter Ale combines the lilting charm of 17th-century madrigals and traditional favorites with the high-energy impact of modern folk-rock for a truly arresting sound. The toast of the Georgia Renaissance Festival pub crowd, Three Quarter Ale’s tempting blend of lively harp, flute, guitar, and ethnic percussion with delicious three-part vocal harmonies in turn uplifts, enchants, and makes listeners want to dance in their seats.

Rivka Levin
Author Rivka Levin delivers an audio play taken from Chapter 23 of her novel “Fame and Family”, which provides the origins of the characters from the popular Ren-rock band Three Quarter Ale.
“A feisty, run-away gypsy. A softhearted, elegant Jewess. A bullheaded, boozing rogue. They have nothing in common save a passion for music. But when a nobleman’s error and a singular opportunity collide, they must choose: resolve their differences and collaborate, or forfeit their best chance at success.” – Google Books
Denim Arcade
Atlanta based cover band Denim Arcade pays tribute to Cyndi Lauper’s epic music video companion to Steven Spielberg’s classic film “The Goonies”. Created in honor Atlanta’s annual pirate pub crawl PiratePalooza during the event’s 2020 hiatus, imposed by the “Curse of the Commodore” (Stephen Decatur). With a rich, deep library of 80s hits you’ll find Denim Arcade one of the most fun and nostalgic trips back to the 1980s! Look for them at bars, restaurants and municipal auditoriums around you! Follow them online and in social media!

The Long and Short of It
The Season 6 is here and the drama is TURNED UP with Joni and Nellie trying to impress the Commodore – who will be the captain??
The all-lady pirate crew of The Crimson Curse have washed a-shore, and you know what that means: naughty tunes, drinking songs, and mayhaps even a heart-felt ballad or two!

Barehead Bards
The Barehead Bards are back on the air in their latest PiratePalooza series: Potato Hour, a tribute to the works of Rudyard Kipling’s best friend Monty Clod. Please note: the bards are no longer accepting baked potatoes as payment tor raw potatoes, due to the uncertainty with the Euro.
The Bards are an award-winning Celtic pub band, late of Newcastle, known for their music, their long stories of trees in bogs, and their love for the potato in all her glorious forms.

Curvy & Scurvy
Scurvy Pete, former cabin boy on the Heaving Bosom, is now captain of his own ship The Gaping Wound. His crew includes his trusty cabin boy Curvy, for whom he has confusing feelings, as well Purvey, Swervey, and Topsy Turvy. (Notice a theme here?)
This crew are pure pirates as they steal all their best music from high class pirates such as Pyrates Royale who are too far away to fight them on this! You can see them perform at PiratePalooza whenever they are in port, or on the deck when they’re at sea the rest of the year. Festivals around the world have refused them entrance due to all the “misunderstandings” that Captain Scurvy has caused in the past.
