Oh for the love of ten thousand blinding suns, Queen Anne has taken up with wonton kissing wenches and traveling minstrels… surely this cannot end well for Her Majesty…

After a hard night of buccaneering around Tybee Island, our old mate Tommy likes to turn up the Victrola and entertain his shipmates and ship’s wenches with a bit of burlesque. You may know Tommy from such reels as the Virginia and the Corner. His favorite color is rum and his favorite film is “Get Out of My Bloody Way, I Need to Have a Slash”. When you’re a busy space pirate you always run the risk of being disenfranchised from local politics due to your frequent absences from the planet, which is why it’s so vitally important to mail in your census information to the Kingdom (so that you may be better taxed). Fortunately, the King has been thoughtful enough to send ’round his own Tax Collector to gather census information from those too busy (or illiterate) to fill out the proper paperwork. Here you’ll see him interviewing Captain Drew for the 1534 census!

Last weekend Captain Drew traveled down to Tybee Island, Georgia, to observe the League of the Black Flag in action at the 5th Annual Tybee Island Pirate Fest… not to brag but PiratePalooza enjoyed its 5th Annual festival well before those silly beach folk! ;P

Black Flagger Israel Hand discovered that the Tybee Beach Police do not allow sleeping in the sand…. why not learn along with him?

This past weekend Wicked Pete Speakeasy caught Captain Drew loitering in New Castle, leading to a nasty game of Salt, Slug, Foot between the two. Fortunately for you, it was captured on magnetic media.

The crew of the PiratePalooza™ would like to wish an almost entirely unscurvy life of wedded bliss to Gregg and Susan of the Rambling Sailors, who were wed aboard the fine ship J.&E. Riggin early last month. Take a look at the video put together by new hubby Gregg using photos by Carol Miller and the tune “Beggars to God” by Jim Hancock. The PiratePalooza™ has been fortunate enough to have the Rambling Sailors play for us in the past and we’ll keep our fingers crossed that they be decent enough to cross our decks again some point in the future!

While I still be waiting to hear if any of you hull-beaters hobbled away with video from PiratePalooza™ 2008 with video of the cursed pubcrawl/concert, I have some intriguing new video of them dumpster-diving bastards, the cardboard troopers, what always be chasing me and me crew. As best I can tell, it seems those loons infiltrated some sort of girlie show for a fellow in a top hat. Perhaps this will make more sense to you lot.

Devoted sci-fi fan/collector “SexyBeast2175” alerted us to this fantastic video he shot at Trader Vic’s in the basement of the downtown Atlanta Hilton. It features a solitary cardboard trooper getting groovy to Big Mike Geier of Tongo Hiti singing the lyrics of The Who’s “Pinball Wizard” to the tune of Johnny Cash’s “Folsom Prison Blues”.
